George Henry HOLDEN, son of Henry HOLDEN (c. 1855-c. 1908) and Laura LUSHER (c. 1863-c. 1937), was born on 9 November 1886 in South Lopham, Norfolk - parents Henry (labourer) and Laura. He was baptised on 20 July 1890 in South Lopham; baptised along with 3 siblings. George was attested into the military on 25 July 1904 and posted on 26 July 1904 to the Norfolk Regiment, Private 5334. By 1918 he had transferred to the 428th Agricultural Company and was found on the South Lopham list of absent voters, residence given as the Chequers Inn. George died circa 1955 - aged 68 years.
